Hounslow & Whitton Cricket Club (HWCC) were previously two separate clubs known as Old Meadonians CC and Old Latymerians CC.
Chiswick House based Old Meadonians and Whitton Park based Old Latymerians merged in 1999 to form Chiswick and Latymer CC using Whitton as their main ground for 1st and 2nd X1s. Our link with Chiswick House died and Latymer School gave us a 10 year lease on the ground. These changes gave rise to the new club name of Hounslow & Whitton CC, emphasising our strong links to the Community.
Located within private landscaped grounds along with a clubhouse at Whitton Park Sports Association, we are a stones throw away from Whitton High Street and Twickenham Rugby Stadium.
Our Senior section has four Saturday teams in the Thames Valley League. The first XI play in Division 2, the second XI play in Division 6, the third XI play in Division 9 and the new fourth XI play in Division 10. We have one Sunday team playing in the Middlesex Sunday league (MSCL).
Our aim for the 2022 season is to consolidate the first XI's position in Division 2, and for the second, third and fourth XIs to gain promotion from their respective divisions, and to establish the Sunday senior side in the MSCL.
We are committed to introducing more youth into our senior sides by increasing the level of coaching provided with our Transition Manager's support.
4s win their League, 3s finish 2nd. Both are promoted for 2023. The Sunday XI finished second and won their Cup competition. Well done everyone.
Our Junior section continues to thrive through the winter and summer, across multiple teams from under 9 to under 17. We have a transition team to support them from Juniors to playing with the Seniors teams. Our Juniors are trained by ECPA (Elite Cricket Performance Academy) who coach the Juniors along with our ECB Level 1 and 2 trained coaches. Players have pathways onto Borough, Regional and Middlesex County representative cricket.
