Our Saturday 1s won a nail biting finish against table topping Uxbridge on Saturday. Mo Afzal did it again with a fabulous 84 while Mark Bright halted a scary collapse and kept his brain in gear for an unbeaten 52 to see us over the line with one wicket left.
Uxbridge had a 13 year old fast bowler who is the best I have ever seen at that age. Odds on he will play for England if he keeps at it.
The 3s set a club record by dismissing Hayes 4s for 22 ! In my memory the lowest ever score by any opposition. Nobody scored more than 2 runs. Dharmender Chahal took 7 for 9 including 4 clean bowled in one over !
Well done the 4s who secured promotion with a heavy defeat of promotion rivals, Newbury 3s by 136 runs.
